Xfinity is constructing this Home WiFi network using client-rented equipment that broadcasts a secondary public WiFi network called "Xfinity wifi” And chances are, you're also taking part in this program through your home router. Nothing is more infuriating than having your internet connection go down when you need it the most.

I've received the "Connected, No Internet" issue several times with my Xfinity Wi-Fi when working on a critical project or ready to submit a report.

This was not like the time when my Wi-Fi was disconnecting since my Wi-Fi connection was solid; I just didn't have Internet access.

I've spent numerous hours researching various articles and videos on the Internet to find a solution to this vexing problem.

But I got no proper answer to Xfinity wifi not working issue and hence I spent days and weeks in finding out a fix to this problem and I present it to you in form of this article.

Why is Xfinity wifi is not working?

Although connecting to your wifi appears to be simple, it might be annoying when the Xfinity wifi not working issue pops up. When this happens, it might be due to several circumstances, including:

1. A Hotspots for Zombies

Not all Xfinity network hotspot sites have the same amount of signal strength. some of them become a zombie in the hotspot realm meaning they do not possess much signal strength to maintain a fast and reliable internet connection.

2. Device Restrictions

You may also encounter troubles with this at home owing to constraints with the number of devices connected to your hotspot, which might lead to Xfinity wifi keeps disconnecting issue one of the paths by which is it can be solved is if you remove devices from Xfinity wifi

3. Server Not Responding

There are times when these public WiFi hotspots are inoperable due to service outages.

When this happens, you have no choice except to wait until this internet service provider resolves the issue.

Troubleshooting the  Xfinity wifi not working issue

Using My Account, you can troubleshoot your Internet connection.

Navigate to the Internet Service section of My Account (you may be asked to sign in using your Xfinity ID and password).

Scroll down to the Devices section. Locate the modem and click Restart Modem.

To restart your modem, select Start Troubleshooting. It may take up to seven minutes to complete this task. During this time, your home Internet will be unavailable.

If none of the above troubleshooting methods doesn’t work you can move to our next section and follow the given solutions to fix the Xfinity wifi not working issue.

1. Restart the Gateway

The most popular technique to resolve the "no Internet connectivity" problem is to restart the gateway. Simply power off/unplug your gateway, wait a few minutes, and then power on/re-plug the gateway to test whether you can connect to the Internet.

You may also try resetting your gateway to factory settings to see if it solves the problem. If you are still unable to connect to the Internet, proceed to the next step.

2. Use another ethernet cable

Most of the time, it's a hardware problem. Ethernet ports deteriorate with time and can be damaged by vermin and pets.

So try plugging your cable into a different Ethernet port and see if it solves the problem.

3. You are using a damaged splitter

A splitter is a device that divides the signal from a cable between two or more devices.

They gather and distribute incoming signals from the antennas to each output port.

By splitting the signal between the Wi-Fi router and the TV receiver, Comcast Wi-Fi and Cable TVs work in this way.

4. Try Deactivating Security Software

Your antivirus software may occasionally interrupt and stop your network connection. As a result, if you are unable to connect to the Internet, you can try to disable or switch off the security programs on the devices that are not connected to the Internet. Then, check to see whether your internet connection has been restored.

So, if you have a poor or worn-out splitter, it might potentially restrict signal transmission to your Wi-Fi router (if the cable is broken).

Overall, you will most likely find at least one of the following strategies to be effective in resolving the Xfinity wifi not working issue. Whether none of the aforementioned alternatives work, you may troubleshoot your Xfinity network or check for local Xfinity outages to see if your Internet Service Provider is still down. If your location is experiencing a network outage, there is little you can do but wait for the network to restore service.
